if I don't take care of "me"; there will be no "me"
I saw that on a forum I was reading the other night, and it was a major revelation. I have to do better as a person when it comes to my physical, mental, and emotional state. The mental and emotional part is stable and highly under control to a point where I can live a normal life. On the physical that's a different story. I used to be a average sized female back in the day, wearing a 12/14 in high school, but when I got to college all things changed. Sadly I most definitely remember when the all the weight gain started, it's a weird story with a great moral.
I remember when I was about 12 and I wore a size 8. Me, my mom, and sister were at the some department store and my mom asked me did I like these black and white plaid pants that kinda fluff out at your waist. I lied and said yeah, and she refused to take it out the basket and made me wear them. Man, I wish I never lied at all about that. But anyway, one day I was tired of wearing these pants because kids at school would trip on those days, very embarrassing for me. I prayed and told God that I wanted to not be able to fit the darn pants anymore, make me gain weight or something. Low and behold, I gained weight was very happy to give them to goodwill, but things started taking a wrong turn from there. I continued to gain weight by the 9th grade I was a size 12 and by the time I graduate wearing 13/14 or plain out 14s. Not to mention the Freshman 15 hit me for both of those semesters, and I was like omg I changed within the blink of an eye. Then by the time I graduated from College I wear a size 16/18 or plain ole 18s, for me that's very depressing on my part. Like how did I let myself go like that, I've been trying to figure that out for a while now. Moral of the story: Be careful what u pray for and be mighty specific because He really does listen and answer to prayers, maybe he should have ignored that one lol.
Well as of April 1st, I started doing the phase 2 part of the South Beach Diet and lost 4.5lbs (223lbs-218.5lbs) and that took 2.5 weeks to lose. A doctor would say that is very good and healthy weight loss, considering you are only supposed to 1.5lbs a week. Sadly that was not the way I was feeling, I did all that exercise and dramatic changes in my eating habits to lose 5lbs, I wanted to lose more. I mean any progress was good progress but it was not acceptable to me. So I decided to go to a weight loss clinic, because I was tired of being this way, I want the physically fit me, the physically fit person without health issues due to weight. That's the main reason why I want to lose the weight, my health is not good at all, based on how I view the situation. I want to live and be free from taking all this medication because of my weight. Please refer to the phrase at the beginning of this post, [If I don't take care of me, there will be no me], and I want to live and enjoy life more than ever. The clinic prescribed me phentermine and I began taking them April 19th. Phen speeds up your body and is a appetite suppressant, you sometimes have to remember to eat. But anywhoo, I will post next Thursday the results of week 1 of phentermine. So stay tuned.
