“I hate heels!! Love how they look but hate how they feel”

Inspired by Keri Hilson's song, "High Heels"

As you know already, I love music. I was listening to this other song and it sparked a thought. For all you club women, disagree or agree with me if you please.

Do we really try that hard to get that man's (if he really is one) attention. I mean it can below 0 degrees outside and some of you, not me apparently, still wear cut off shirts to show your belly buttons and daisy dukes or your miniskirts. But the guy, has on some jeans, a LONG sleeve shirt (maybe doubled if he smart enough himself), some brand Tennis shoes, and a Fifty hat (maybe to block the air). Does anyone get where I am going with this. Because I really shouldn't have to explain it kindergarten style (which I will not). I just think it's funny because you want to risk your health, for one night (if that) of affection or exclusive testosterone attention, however you want to call it. Just simply funny.

Let it marinate, so some of you maybe can learn something. It's good to be sexy, but not foolishly, that cold you catching ain't sexy at all. You can wear cute short dresses, please tights to the outfit or some nice stockings. It's real cute with sweater dresses. J Oh yeah, go on youtube or something and check out Keri Hilson, girl actually got swagger.

A Cute Religious Joke from Beliefnet.com

Walking on Water

A rabbi, priest, and a minister are out fishing in a boat on a big lake when the priest realizes that he has to go to the bathroom. Not wanting to disturb the fishing of the others in the boat by having them take him to shore, he gets out of the boat and walks across the water to do his business and then returns to the boat. A little while later the minister has to go also and he does the same. He walks across the water, does his business and returns across the water to the boat.

Finally the rabbi feels the urge to go to the bathroom too, so he climbs out of the boat. But instead of walking across the water, he falls into the water and starts to wildly splash around. The priest and the minister finally drag the rabbi back into the boat and the priest turns to the minister and says, "Maybe we should have told him where the rocks were."

Love Yourself!!!!!!

This is off the basis of jamming to my iPod, like I always do. Music is my life.

I was waiting for my class to start and listening to my iPod, as usual to kill time. I don’t know if it’s just me but for some songs it may take me a while to actually pay attention to lyrics of the verses.
Today was one of those days. Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That thing)” song was on and I started just analyzing what she was saying and I was like that is so true. Now I want you to listen or relisten to the song for that matter and let it marinate. I mean I knew what she was talking about a long time ago, but this time I just listened, and I got something different that’s all.
Listening to her caused me to find other songs like hers or some that have meaning to it. For you girls (women) who may loose a pinch of self-esteem from time to time, trust me I have those days.
Listen to these:
1. Fergie “All that I got”
2. Brooke Valentine “Cover Girl”
3. Hope Partloe “Who we are”
4. TLC “Unpretty”

These are just a few off the top of my head that I listen to and make me feel better on those “I think I suck” days.
I was watching Joel Osteen last night and it was basically God telling me to “Live a no excuse life”. Don’t worry about who’s better than the other, or she’s prettier than me. If you don’t like something, do something about it. I know I am. Now, I do not mean change yourself for someone’s liking, fix it to your liking. I know I am.

Being Random:

I am going to post my DIVA Project and I want you to be apart of it.

Public Service Announcement

I hope you are going to enjoy this week's post. It truly came from the heart. I have a few upcoming announcements to make, which are a little adjustments. At first, It is structured so a topic will be discussed for a month. From now on, It will be random, because honestly some things do not need a month's time. And the other announcement is I *might* post a blog every 2 weeks, so I can balance school work and other things important to me. Of course, this is one of them. But like I said once before, priorities. But if you are subscribed to this blog and receive them by emails, you really should not worry, because you will see it no matter when I post something. Oh yeah.... If you want to know my opinion on something, let me know. Read the right column to reach me. That's all I wanted to say.
Thanks for reading and please continue.

Back in a Flash!!!

Hey, how are all of you doing on this Monday? I hope well. I just want to bless you with a testimony.

Ok here goes….. This past week has been very stressful one and full of worries. God kept telling me it's fine, you know how sometimes you might think that's you just talking sometimes. You can say that I was in that stage. But I kept pressing on, praying, and speaking everything in existence in my favor, and rebuking all negative things against my blessing. Just last night, literally, this time when I prayed was different. I simply told God, that I give all worries unto you and I am going to let you completely handle it. I hope you can tell that it was like I had a lot of weight on my shoulders. Immediately after praying, God told me to get up and open my bible up and read the page that it fell on. I obeyed, of course. I prayed again before I opened the bible for that right now word I was about to receive. Guess what!!!! Ya'll just don't know what I was reading. In my bible, I have small excerpts and extra stuff on the sides of the verses. I usually read that first. So I did, and it was giving me a short summary about Hannah and her desire for to have son. She pressed on and kept speaking to the father. Eli told her, (the part that really made me burst into tears and call my mom) "May the God of Israel give you what you asked of him." As soon as I read that, the weight and the anxiety were completely gone.

God is real, and he does what you ask of him according to his will. I hope you receive this message today and remember him, because trust me, he does.

By the way, the verse can be found at 1 Samuel 1:17.

Let’s Pause for a min

Ok…I have a lot of studying to do for my classes and right now your blog slumber would have to take a break for now. I had to weigh my priorities and school won. By saying that, I can say that your present sets the pace for the future. As of right now, I am investing in mine by doing what's best for me, and I expect you to do the same. Or regret it later. And I was very excited about the poll. I agree with the rest of you, a well balanced relationship is the way to go. It's peaceful that way. Well, all I can say right now is to watch out for a new blog on October 20 or the 21st. A new topic, new genre, and a new way to see life. Adios amigos.

An Image of Inspiration

Ok..... this is a random one. On my birthday, I got to chance to see Debbie Allen talk. For those of you who don't know who she is, be ashamed. Please google her.
Anywhoo. Listening to her was a great honor, and I appreciate her for everything she talked about. A few pointers that she said are what I want to talk about and how they impacted my life. So here goes...
1. "Success is one step beyond failure." The only thing that would be pushing you back a step, is the fear of not making it or rejection. No matter how many times you get rejected, you should push on. I mean the woman that wrote Harry Potter gotten rejected a million times before she got her break. What makes you any different?
2. "Embrace your identity". Now this can have different meanings to it. But the way I understood it reminded me of this blog and the purpose that it has. The main purpose is to Embrace that woman in you, and love her for bit and piece she is. Celebrate the woman in you.
3. "Be aggressive, with confidence". This is self-explanatory.
4. THE BIG QUESTION:"What are you going to do now?" I want you to think about it and realize what you want to do in life, and what you need to now to get there.

Well that sums it up. I would like to thank Debbie Allen for coming to my school and spending time with students like me, when she didn't have to.

Know what you're, who you are, and where you stand.

Polictical fun! Childhood style

A new way to overcome Adversity, for all you Christians out there.

Adversity:

Definition-> disaster, trouble, misery, a condition marked by misfortune; an unfortunate event.

Everyone goes through something at one point in their lives constantly. You're still alive aren't you. See the good things, do not complain, just rejoice. For you do not know what is coming after the storm is passing. A blessing. No matter how long the storm is, God will never give you more than you can bear, and I that I promise.

Some good quotes:

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. ~M. Kathleen Casey

If you're going through hell, keep going. ~Winston Churchill

We acquire the strength we have overcome. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Here is one third of the message that speaks on Adversity, the next part will be featured next week. Joel Osteen is talking about how to handle and overcome adversity and I hope this helps you stand firm on your feet.

Next Week, some more on adversity with a great personal experience and definitely more Joel Osteen.

Sneak Peek as promised: Heart Seeker- What the heart Longs for.

This is only a little preview. I picked a part of an chapter that should give you a good feel about the book. Well to give you a head's up, Gerad is the name of the main character and he is trying to find the love of his life.

Here Goes……..

Cloey called me and told me not to forget what was happening tonight. She was so anxious about it, I wanted to know everything that was about to go down, all she said was that it had nothing to do with sex. Well all I knew was that I had to be at her place by 8:30.

I put on my finest outfit, I wore my black Dickie shorts with a matching hat, some black Timberlands, and an Ecko Red shirt. I finally got my fade I wanted instead of that fro I had, that had to get lined up and cut in a professional style.

I got there at eight o clock right on the dot, as I proceeded towards the door I heard LSG My Body playing. It was a note on the door and it said to knock three times, come in and stop the CD player and press play, and sit my tail down and don't touch anything. I did as she said, soon as I pressed play on the CD player, I heard Cloey's voice.

"Hey what's up, I see you following directions and that's all good, the next step is to not get comfortable, I have a surprise for you, just sit back and relax not too much and, look towards the kitchen door and wait for me, bye," Cloey prepared a cute message and now I just had to wait for her.

As soon as Nivea's 25 reasons started playing, Cloey was walking in the room slowly, wearing the most beautiful thing I ever saw any woman in. She had on some skin tight jeans, hell if you touched them they would burst, and a black laced corset. She was singing with the flow and making expressions towards me with vibe of the song, she started it back so she could start from the top.

One, your smile, don't have to say no more, she put a smile on her face and of course on mine.

Two, your guidance and all the things you show me, she showed my hand the way to her heart.

Three, the way you look at me, when you say I love you, mouthed I love you.

Four, your headstrong personality, she held my head up.

Five, your take charge capabilities, she showed me her muscles.

Six, I love the way you cook for me, beef roast, white rice with gravy, she went under the table and pulled out a plate of food.

I can give you 25 reasons why I'm still in love you

I can give 25 reasons why I'm never leaving you

Was this sweet or what, my Cloe taking me to a place called paradise. She jumped on top me and I began to caress one of her butt cheeks, but she moved my hand away.

"Uh, uh, I have a four month rule, remember?"

"Yeah but what happened that day...", she didn't even let me finish my sentence, she placed her fingers on my lips.

"I was being selfish and just wanted something to get Danny off my mind, and you came on my mind"

I looked into those eyes of hers and put my fingers through her hair, knowing she needed some good loving, I had to respect her wishes though. I still wanted to throw her on the bed and do some stuff to her but I had to compose myself, she was making me horny. For the rest of the hour, we just talked about us and how to take it from here. When the clock struck midnight, she jumped off of me and ran up stairs fast as hell.

"Gerad, come up here real fast before it goes away, come on"

I jumped off the couch and ran up to a dark bedroom, when I walked in I saw Cloey standing in front of a wall mirror.

"Sit down with me Gerad and watch what happens, you are going to be so happy, at first I thought I was going crazy and I want you to know something"

"Know what?" I was confused.

So there is your snippet. I hope you have you enjoyed that, I don't think I am putting anymore snippets on her though. Just wait for it to hit the shelves at your nearest store.

Thanks Everyone.

Relationships I: Are you really ready to settle down? (Part 2: The Final Act)

So I was reading on Crosswalk.com and something just hit my spirit and I wanted to share that experience with you. Since I have been single for a while now, God and I have had some pretty good conversations from time to time. And I remember us discussing a season to work on me, he definitely said, "now is the perfect time for that." That was like months ago. Believe it or not, I have made some great progress, but I still have room to grow. I asked God how come I haven't found the right one yet, because I was seriously tired of dating someone that was not made for me. Guess what he said, "You're not ready yet." I was like wow. We talked about it more and elaborated more on how to be ready and prepare for that meeting.

Timing is everything! If you are not ready, you will miss it. So one night, I specifically prayed that when we meet, me and my future husband, we will be ready. We have to fit like a glove and have a mutual understanding about each other. So I have been getting ready since then, changing my bad habits to fit God's image of a woman. Surely, it is not easy. I have obstacles constantly, but that's good, because every time it feels like a road block, that's a sign it is getting closer and closer to that time we will meet. I already know it would not be obvious who he is, but I am staying focused. Being focused needs patience. Remember that. (Please don't pray for patience, because I promise you God will really make you wait and see how long you can last. I will not attempt this and won't plan on it. Learn Patience the best way possible, don't get angry.)

But anyhow…Reading a little bit on Crosswalk.com sent a great revelation through my spirit. A simple verse sparked it, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10)." I was like wow. Then they discussed a Hebrew word, Chokmah, which means "woman of excellence, one who has mastered the art of skillful living (CW)." It was like, Amen shouted throughout my soul. I have not mastered learning to just live with me alone, so how can I bear the feeling of living life with him. It would not work, because I would not know how to handle it or love him whole heartedly. I truly believe that this is what was God was talking about, in terms of "I am not ready." I finally understand what he means, which makes me happier because I know what to do in a better way. Plus he used it as a reminder so I won't forget about the blessing waiting for me. Live life and learn to deal with me and only me first, and then get to the other stuff.

This goes back to the question that I asked in the beginning of the other blog, "Relationship II: Part 2", the sideline note is at the very top of it. Now I am not a smarty person or anything but I have my opinions, so bear with me. My answer to the question is Independence. I have asked men and read a lot about it, and so many of them want a woman that shows independence. Now I don't mean, just all about her, I mean she doesn't have a needy issue of dependency. She can do bad all by herself, but a man can complement her thus making her stronger, which makes him stronger. A woman that knows what she wants, and he wants to help her get there. I mean if you have no power, why should he want you when you have nothing going for yourself? Referring back to the meaning of Chokmah, independence could be another meaning for that word, because you have finally mastered living with yourself successfully.

So far, you should have learned….

  1. Why you should not cheat.
  2. Don't answer to, "Aye yo." Make him work for it, don't make it easy. Plus, he could be the perfect gentlemen if he approaches you right.
  3. Don't look for the one ladies, he is supposed to find you. Remember that.
  4. Date someone that is in a relationship with someone else, is very WRONG.
  5. Learn to live with yourself.
  6. Chokmah, every woman shall eventually reach this level, even me.

I hope you enjoyed reading about this segment. So for now, I am done talking about relationships until something else good comes up worth talking about. Next topic is adversity and how to see it in a different way with the help of Joel Osteen teaching on it. That is going to be real good too. I have to keep it real.

Also, I am working on the first video blog, and it is going well. I'm just finishing up the touches and it will be posted shortly. Plus, a snippet of the book will be on here next time, FINALLY. I keep my promises people, even though it came a little shorthanded. Nonetheless, enjoy life.

Relationships II: Personal Experience Pt. 2

(Starting where I left off)

And that same next got me more bull. Rodger and I became an official couple. It was alright. But he wasn't allowed at my house, considering the fact my parents knew the deal. And since they liked Darius and was mad at Rodger for the mess, they had a good reason to deny him. So basically I only saw him when I was out and about from time to time. I was completely faithful, and all the guys that wanted me, I remained intact and calm. It was all good until the phone calls and feelings started to change. I mean I was in love with this guy. But I guess that scared him away and whatever, and we talked less and less. So I finally got the nerve to ask him if he was seeing someone else. He gives the usual answer No. But my gut feeling was telling me otherwise, and my heart was saying just trust him. I was completely being pulled at both ends. Enough being said, he eventually broke up with me, with some lie to seal the deal. I was crushed. All I did was cry, I couldn't understand what went wrong until I was talking to ym buddy of mine. (YM= Yahoo Messenger) He was like I know this girl that was dating him too, and I was like ok. Eventually she wrote me and told me what happened between him and her.

Come to find out, we were dating him at the same time. Certain events that happened lined up exactly with hers, and made me furious. Then she told me, he left her for her ex-best friend. I was like Whoa! What a dog and a fool I was. So I gave *Gale* the idea, to warn her about the dirty dog he was but I guess she didn't either. Long story short, they are not dating anymore, he cheated on her. Mind you, this is over 2 ½ years and funny how me and him still talk on associate terms only. I just want to know how miserable the sucker is doing. God has avenged me well to say. But God has also avenged Darius by using Rodger. By the way, Gale and I are good friends, Rodger gave me a new friend and didn't even know it. Ha!

I finally put my pride and fear aside and called Darius. After all the times I called, I knew he wasn't ever going to pick up the phone. That hurt real bad. I felt like shit because I was stupid to leave a good man for some loser. (Note: The 80/20 rule is real. I am a true believer of that.) It was going on a year that I was still not getting any contact with him and that was getting the best of me. One day, I asked God to give me the chance to apologize to him and get his forgiveness and grace. Because I truly believed nothing was going to be fixed in life, until I apologize.

Needless to say, months went by since that prayer, I checked my MySpace and he sent me a message saying "What's Up?" Mind you I did not even know he had a MySpace. A big cheesy smile appeared on my face, because I knew God had come through for me. I finally told him I am sorry and asked for his forgiveness. I felt relieved, and all that weight and pain has been lifted off my shoulders. Honestly, you'll never know what you got until it's gone. I mean I have learned so much and I just thank God for the opportunity to be mature and set free.

So you should learn:

  1. Don't cheat. The one you are cheating with may and probably will cheat on you. If not, they are going to hurt you in some way sooner or later. GOD will make you reap that harvest of deceit sooner or later. Trust me, from firsthand experiences that is not pretty.
  2. Choose wisely. Make your decisions on the basis of your future, because you have to live with it the next morning.
  3. If you do not know what the 80/20 rule is please look it up or watch "Why did I get married" the movie or the play. The movie will explain it better though. Or let's just say, "Don't leave the one you love for the one you like."
  4. Swallow your pride and grow up. It's the best thing to do.

I really hope this experience helped someone out there. As long as it helped one person, I am fine. Learn from other people's mistake, you'll get through life easier. Hopefully, you learned from mine. I was retarded when I was younger, well in that mindset of being retarded. I have matured and since then, I haven't been the same. I told you this because I felt I need to, I told I keep it real, I am not ashamed of anything I do. But I do regret some.

*Names were changed to not hinder their lives in any way.*

Diva Updates:

  1. Next topic will be on Seeing Adversity in a different way. See you until then. Plus I will be trying the find the video of Joel Osteen's message pertaining to this so maybe you can understand better.
  2. Tell your friends and family about this blog and comment, it really helps to read your comments about the topic.

Relationships II: Personal Experience Pt. 1

Side note:

I have my head held up high, catching all the eyes.

I sway my hips to a classy, yet sexy tempo.

The ones, who are not on my level, despise.

Thus, I take pride in who I am, it's that simple.

That woman is built in me, therefore knowledge is wise.

To go to extreme of someone's liking, I'll think twice.

Because I know that I am a Diva, and if you recognize it, you'll see it too.

Ok... Not starting where I left off. I want to talk about the opposite of last week's topic. The good woman, the real woman, the understanding woman, always being overlooked. Professionalism is a need in this very technical world. Professionalism in this topic means class, attitude, and individuality, which brought about liberation, thus being different. Liberation took its place and has been here for a while, which gave birth to independence. Independence has been exhausted to where it is slowly being taken back from us. I have a question for you.

While some women are single, they boast their independence as if it is a trophy, secretly wanting a man to take the bread winning place later on. Others claim their independence when they are single and when in a relationship, but still gives the man the kingship right he is entitled to. Is independence within a relationship supposed to be solely your responsibility to maintain, or do it like the bible says, when man and woman come to together, they are one, still making you independent in a sense with partner in the circle? Or is dependency the issue at hand and independence no longer exist? This will be discussed later on.

Back to your regular broadcasting:

I left off by talking about the other women. On an honest note, I was never the other woman and knew about it. But I have had the other man on the sideline. No, I am not boasting or anything, I am telling my dirt hopefully to help someone else not fall into a hole of mess and end up regretting it later.

Well I was dating a guy *Darius* for some time now and I eventually met this guy off of MySpace. MySpace, yeah I know right! His name was *Rodger*, and he seemed to be a cool person. We like chatted and eventually exchanged numbers and began texting from time to time. He didn't live far and what not, so we met up and what not. Now, don't get me wrong, we were only friends during this part. I mean I was faithful to Darius, I was feeling him and he was cool person that kept me laughing. I mean he was this fun outgoing person, he was a good one. Well at least I think so. Come to find out, they knew each other; they both were on the football team or something like that at one point of time. I thought that was funny and weird at the same time. But it was all good.

Rodger was a skater and that attracted me, and I used the "I want to learn how to skate too", to basically to get closer. (He later told me, that he knew why I said that. Lol.) He knew I was dating Darius and what not, so he already knew the biz. Well time went by and all I know, we eventually dug the hole deeper with more dirt we did together. Big mistake!! I don't even know why I did it or why it even happened. But for some reason I didn't care. (Note: I regretted it later on.)

Prom was coming up and what not, (tells you almost how old I was) and I was excited. I went to 2 proms since Darius went to a different school than me. So that was interesting within itself, I felt very fortunate. I mean he treated me good but stupid ass, me, was not appreciating it. The night after my prom, we went out to eat at the only place that's open 3 in the morning. His posse came up there and I felt totally ignored, thank God I had my friend *Tracee* with me. She kept me company but eventually me and her went outside the restaurant and I saw a cutie and long story short. I was caught. He broke up with me and I really didn't care. In my eyes, I was like I got another in line, so the best thing for me to do was to say, "Next!" ………………………………………………….

*Well, just to let you know the rest of the biz on the old me is going to finish up next week. But answer my question about dependent or independent, I would really like to know what you think.

Note: Just because I met someone off the internet, doesn't mean it was a smart idea. I haven't done it since then. But I was blessed, not lucky, to meet a sane person. You should have good judgment, people end up getting killed every day.

We are all Superwomen!!! Its apart of being a diva

This is your xtra for the week so far. Enjoy the music, this is not the actual video due to copyrights and stuff of that nature. I am certainly thinking about making this the theme song for my podcast, which are in the making of production now, just watch out for those. They will be audio for now, until I make some video arrangements with some equipment.

The Poll of the Month: International Traveling

Answer: England

In search of the United Kingdom, well go ahead and visit England. I plan on visiting this place before my college years are over. Enjoy the food and the culture, just inhale all of it and make the best of it. I promise you will learn something by experiencing their life firsthand. Just make sure when you go there, exchange your money.

Also, as promised I am back with new blogs, let me know what you think. (Look below this poll, to get the new blog. J)

Relationships I: what are we looking for?? (Part 1: The Opening Act)

Let me think! I am an intelligent and beautiful black lady. Full of spark, comical at times, and loving at the same time, I am the full package!

It just bothers me that so many men don't even see that. Some of them think I am supposed to alter myself to their liking, um…. You lost something, yea, YOUR MIND! Or the ones that you want you to work around their time; I guess I met all the dogs. *Sigh* Counterfeit is no joke, don't pay close attention, you'll be lost and feeling bad later on.

I'm tired of hearing all of these men talking about "I need a real woman to hold me down", HELLO!!! Real women are everywhere, just for once look at something different than her body. I mean of course, first appearances and impressions are everything. The appearance, should be of course what attracts you, but pay close attention to how she carries herself, and please STOP THINKING WITH YOUR PENIS and use the head upstairs.

OMG!!! Plus this game is so old. I am here long enough to play along with you, take your number and never call. Yea, that chick might have been me. I am just sick of "Aye you", "Aye girl", "Pss", and all of that. Ugh, my name is not Aye!!!!! It is Shermere. Please approach me directly and correctly. I like excuse me miss or something of a gentlemen nature. If not, I'm going to look straight ahead, or around like I don't know where it is coming from. Or just be funny when you say "Aye" and bust out with "B", just don't be an idiot and respond back with "C". Lol

I just got to the point to realize that I am done with the dating scheme. I want to find Mr. Right that bring me the right ring and say "I do", SCRATCH THAT, I mean I want Mr. Right to find me and then say "I do". Yea I said it. It's what every girl wants. Maybe not now, but I want him now. Not to get married or anything, but I want him to get to know me for me, and form a real relationship excluding sex. Celibacy makes a relationship stronger; you can understand your partner's inner being better. I learned that the hard way, it throws everything off its friendly course, it's too emotional. Nevertheless, I want to find that man that makes me just do crazy stuff, in a good way. I'll be that woman to hold you up and keep steady ground within the foundation we made together. Keep everything in control and peaceful.

Hey, I am not that picky. I just want a real man. The right man. The understanding man. The Good man. The man for me. I don't want someone else's man, that is beyond me. I don't understand why so many women want to date someone who is in a relationship with someone else. If they took to the time to think about the situation they would not place themselves in that mess. If he doesn't care about the main woman in his life, what makes you the think he is going to care or even love the side woman? More than likely, he loves the main woman, but he just can't stay monogamous, that is a fact in some cases. (Lord, please don't send me that type of man!) When it all comes down to it, she is his main focus, he has to hide you from her, but it's funny that you know all about her. Just think about it. It's obvious that he doesn't care about your feelings, he cares about hers. Lol. You women crack me up.

This is just part one of the lovely event catch me next week as I disclose more mind numbing thoughts and revelations about relationships and how I see it. Comment and tell me what you think. Your opinions are always welcome.

D!V@ Updates:

  1. Heart Seeker: What the heart longs for, is still in the making. I haven't forgotten about the snippet I promised I'm working on the finishing touches. I'm going to put a summary out soon, but I just don't know how soon.
  2. This is month is totally about Relationships and anything dealing with that nature.
  3. If you any ideas or request let me know. Email me at Divageneration@ymail.com, and I will respond as soon as I can. By the way, this is email I will be using for now on. Sheremere@yahoo.com will no longer be of use for this blog, because I will not check it anymore.

"Know what you're worth, who you are, and where you stand" That's D!V@'s motto and I will personally stick to it. It has meaning and value. But that's another conversation.

Poll!!!! The Decision has been made.

The poll is over. Aren't you glad? Well the answer was a tie, so the Queen of all D!V@s, Queen Diva gets to choose the answer. Lol. My answer is "that never ending feeling when you find the right person." I believe it so true. To be real, you have to keep that spark, whether it's learning to adjust to that new relationship level, or a new way to say "I love you". It's all about keeping the flow and maintaining the communication at most. No trust, no talk, no time, means there's no love. "Ding, Ding, Ding," it's not rocket science, it's life. And maybe some people need to grow up and understand that somethings are meant to be cherished and not abused. I don't know how many times me and my friends go through things with our "once upon a time Lovers" but it has all changed since then. But that will be discussed later on. So... Now for the new poll!! Check it out at the bottom of the page. Adios until August 19, because I have to prepare myself for my third year in college and handle other things. But I promise August 19 will have an awesome start.

Medicine for Your Ears

I use to want to work for the music industry and be apart of the A&R development team. But I chose a different plan, be an accountant. I am almost finished with school and ready to start that new agenda. I can't wait. I still have a love for music, it is my life. You should ask my friends, I barely watch tv, but my stereo is always on. This week I just wanted to talk about what is Hot this summer and what not. A little about me though.

  1. Beyonce is upgrading her listener's with "Beautiful Nightmare." As of the moment it is a fly song. But no say of a new and upcoming album. *Sigh* Bummer. lol
  2. Plies says he is da man, the Real Definition of Real. Check out his new album, I have it shouldn't you.
  3. Lil Wayne hits the scene with his flavorable song called, "Lollipop." Haven't heard his album, but hopefully it's good.
  4. Chris Brown, the newfound adult, is serenading his listener's right now with, "Take you down." His album is completely off the chain, go ahead and cop that Forever Edition while you're at it. I bet you will be listening to it forever.
  5. Michelle Williams is breaking her musical silence with "We Break the Dawn." It is a smooth party song. I am just waiting for the release of her album. Probably I could break a speaker with the musical lyrics she might be bringing.

I was bored and also started to think about movies.

  1. Indiana Jones
  2. Get Smart
  3. Kong Fu Panda

All the movies I'm interested in.

Well that's about it. Cya.

A dose of that D!V@ Update!!!!

Well hello and welcome back. I hope you all have enjoyed these readings so far and wanted to make sure that I was hitting the right parts for that everyday life. As we all know D!V@ stands for that Diligent Intelligent Vivacious Asset that is ready for the world and the beyond. As for all of you that are waiting on the release of "Lil Mama: A tale's tale", I am sorry to inform you that there has been a change in my plans. I feel that another book would be worthy of being published first. It's called "Heart Seeker: What the heart longs for", it's about a man on his search for love. I am sure that you all would like it. Doesn't everybody like Romance?!?! Plus, Next Month or the end of this month, there will be definitely a snippet for all you book readers.

Second: Don't be afraid to email me about inquiries regarding blogging or topics that you want to base the surface. If you need anything mental wise, I'm here for you. It's nothing but advice and real life baby. We are all human and we all got too much to admit we make mistakes. Why don't we talk about it?

Third: I will be definitely trying to start the DIVA organization over here at UTK. Hopefully the plan falls through and bigger and better things happen.

Fourth: I need writers, photographers, and htmlers (I like that word. Lol), and others to help make this something you can reminisce and say "I was apart of that."

Well that's about it! Next week we will definitely be back on track with the lessons and stay tuned, I have to keep it real.

Sex in the City In my life. Friendship style

Alrighty then…. This is a little side step from the lesson adventure 101: Basics of what I have learned before my junior year.
Here goes…..
Ok…. I am going to assume everyone knows a little something about Sex and the City, right?!?! Well you should already know that the whole shebang is about four women and their lives. Well let me get to the point here, they are the best of friends, known each other for like forever and are just tightest clique of them all. I mean they have been through it all, all the in and outs, fallouts, mishaps, and joys of a friendship. I mean through everything they been through, they can’t be without that friend that they have within each other.
I want something similar to that, I mean me and my friends have our own lives to deal with. I mean for the past 2 years I had to learn how to keep a close relationship with all my girls long distance style for 85% of the time in a year. The other percent is when I am on breaks, the only time I am physically there for them. Based on Sex and the City, I am Charlotte, well not 100% her, but I’m that friend that has to travel to see hers. Seriously that is hard to do, I mean you create basically two lives for one person, and really keep up. You have to maintain friendships to a certain level, to enhance the relationship that you and your bestie have. Right?!?!
You know how you go out of your way to fix situations and end all disasters. You expect the same from others, I know you do. Don’t lie. Well here’s the story, I go out all the time with a certain friend, I mean you need me, I’m there. But when it is one time when I say no, you get all mad. That is a like a slap in the face to me. I mean I was dumbfounded. How could she say something like that to me? After all we have been through, throw some shit in my face. And boy is it cooking. I mean sometimes you make compromises, but at times compromising aint always gonna do. Given that I said yea, she wouldn’t have never told me, that” remember when so and so happened, I was the only one there.” As if, I owed her. No one has ever said that to me in my life. I was dumbfounded, so our friendship is based on paybacks. Oh no, not I.
Tips:
Friendship is not based on a “well you owe me this one” mentality.
Friendship is based on a “quality assurance purpose”.
Friendship is gained through trust, someone you can confide in and be true to.
Friendship is not gained through deceit, hatred of another, or dislike.
Friendship gained through similarities, breaking barriers that person may have.
Friendship is what it is. Friends!

"The best mirror is an old friend."
" A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away."

Don’t you think so?
I have to keep it real.

Beautiful Young Supreme DIVA- Lesson 2

New week, thank God, we all survived. Sometimes I start off with a story like last week, but I wanted to bring this week's helper with a twist. Poetry helps people understand how feel and can also become a stress reliever. It's obvious that most of you know that already, so why should I explain the benefits of poetry, it's just nourishing to the soul.

So here goes…..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so some may say.

Stare in the mirror; make an image worthy of a Queen.

The fake beauty others imitate, which men demean.

See of course, the devil is a lie, it doesn't go that way.

Beauty is rooted by self-esteem.

Self- esteem is granted by that inner feeling disguised by love.

Love is how you should feel about yourself.

If you love yourself, your self esteem will be stronger, yet creating beauty.

So when you stare in the mirror, it is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

YOURS.

Few Pointers:

  1. Beauty is whatever you think it is.
  2. It's never what you see; it's only how you feel. But! How you feel should exploit what they see, thus making a true outer beauty. If you love yourself, take care of yourself. Carry yourself as a lady, not a slut. The men that like the slut, only chasing the cat, not the mind. I have to keep it real.
  3. Most of the times, it is about attitude. It defines you.
  4. Hint: if beauty is a mindset, where is your mindset on?
  5. A real man, of course, looks at the outer beauty first, and then examines her inner beauty. Discovering her worthiness of his time and dedication towards a worthwhile relationship. A committed relationship.
  6. Just because some men around you are into this one chick, that doesn't mean anything. Think about it.
    1. What are they after?
    2. How was she dressed? Slutty? Or sophisticated?
    3. What did these men look like?
  7. Do NOT, I repeat, Do Not confuse yourself with a slut, which has to show off her assets and not her qualities. Presentation People!

A Fresh start to a Junior Year Beginning- Lesson 1

So far, UTK is the place to be for me. I have met some cool people and learned things about others. I have taken on new trades and a new life. I have done this all, and there is still miles worth of room to grow. I understand that sometimes it is going to be hard to face life and breakthrough the waves that are pushing against you. Full believer!! I might hit a few obstacles every other day, but I'm still here. Enough of the introduction the beginning of a new ending, let's get down to real stuff.

First of all, a wise man dressed up as a woman said, "If they want to go, let them go…..all you need is at least one good friend", may not be exactly Tyler Perry words but you get the drift. See this year was basically a test to see if I would actually let it go. I mean Keyshia Cole had the song to help women who was still missing the dreadful ex of their lives, while I was wondering about someone who I thought was my friend. I mean I knew this person for some years and all the sudden want to be all funny acting. Of course there were signs pal!!! But me, being the person that I am was thinking maybe they are going through bad times or something. I asked them, did they have a problem with me, but they never said they did. I was iffy about that, and I am glad I was. The conclusion of this friendship ended when another friend of mine texted me some great news about the chick. And luckily they were factual. I just couldn't believe the mess, then the next day gonna try to talk to me as if nothing ever happened. Just to let you know, NO I did not confront her, that drama, ain't my style, I am just going to let her be and let God handle her. I mean the way I see her life is going downhill anyway. But anywhoo.

1. DON'T ignore the signs, but make sure it's coming from the right entity in your life.

2. Don't seek revenge, that's God business.

3. LET IT GO, people like that where only meant to be there to teach you a lesson and make you a stronger person. Believe me when I say I am.

4. Don't Fight either. I mean if you want to go to jail for fighting and ruin a piece of your life, go right ahead. It doesn't solve anything.

5. See it only as an opportunity to show the ones around that you are an adult and you have things under control the RIGHT way. Karma can grant you prosperity or take the joy from you.

P.S. >>>>> I have to keep it real. The rest is coming next week.

Let’s Get Started!

*I want you to write how you feel. So inquire about the blog, you can really make a difference. Show me your skills*

Ok…… Diva is in the building. I finally a junior now in college and I'm so excited about that. I finally did this blog thing, as you can see. You're reading it dummy. Lol. Enough of the chipper chapper. I got a few things on my mind right now. How come tuition is always rising but not your scholarship money, college is getting kind of expensive. The term, "Broke College Student" is real. Next year, I am not having a meal plan, because the food there stinks. Ewww…….

Next thing that comes mind!! The "freshman 15" is no joke, ladies especially take caution to this. It doesn't happen to everybody but it can happen to you. So take heed to this warning, and take care of yourself. I'm "sitting" here trying to figure out how to lose this weight I gained and some more. Any ideas?!?! But yeah, I'm going to start jogging. Psss.. They say it's good for the heart. But guess what! You can get the same effect walking in a fast pace. I did that yesterday. What a great start!

Third. I'm also going to publish my book. So you have to get it, it's called Lil Mama. I *might* put a snippet of a chapter on here. It's an African American Romance novel and it's sure to help you come from boring to intrigued. Don't let the title fool you, it's on totally different stage on life. Hopefully it opens the eyes of some people who totally need it.

Anywhoo. Got questions? Well I got answers. Post a comment with your question and I will get back to you.

Have you checked my poll lately? If not! Go vote. Your opinion matters.

-Diva.

The Next Generation is in your hands.

The First One and I need your help!!!!!

Hello, I hope you take my blog seriously as a lesson learned. These are only feelings. Take them only as my opinions. With that being said, I am on an agenda to bring all women and men together on an understanding basis. In order to do so, I need your help. I would like your input on the world and the way you see it. I want a little discussion on topics that you are interested in dealing with male or female ways that you are intrigued by or despise. It's all good here. It is just conversation that may help to better understand each other.

Looking for:

  • Male or Female
  • Over the age of 16
  • Preferably college students
  • People who are serious and curious about life
  • People who love to have fun

If you want to write for this blog, I would love someone who love to write at least 2 times a month. Have an open mind and nothing is inappropriate, except nonsense. You can write about anything on your mind.

Also it would be nice to have photographers and people who know how to work with html. If you're a photographer, and you take photos that grasp life. Contact me.

Everything will be for fun and free. Also meaning the things you do for this blog is for free. This would be a good way to get out there and be recognized. Especially for college students that want employers to view work or gain a great hobby that can influence someone. To be blessed is to be a blessing to someone else, so give knowledge to the world.
